Here is the second part in the Coming Soon series. Today I am touching upon Nokia’s Classic and XpressMusic series. Excluded from the list are the 2600, 6124, and 3120 Classics because they have already been released. Here is part one.

Classic Series

Basic entry-level candybar phone with VGA camera, 32 MB internal memory and video playback. Least expensive of the bunch.

Quad-band GSM with dual-band 3G (850/2100). 2 MP camera, FM radio and MicroSD capability. Capable of Bluetooth-enabled Near Field Communication, which enables you to transfer data by simply touching the phone with another NFC-capable device. Check the link to go to Engadget for more information!

Powerful S60 phone with 5 MP camera with video record, GPS geotagging, and quad-band GSM/ dual-band 3G support. Anticipated release in July 2008.

ExpressMusic Series

Tri-band phone with FM Radio, Music player with 24 hours playback time, 30 MB internal memory, and the ability to sideload music directly to the phone. Release in Q3 2008.

140 MB internal memory with MicroSD expandable to 8 GB. Sports voice recognition “say and play” feature, enabling you to simply say the name of the song you want to hear. HS-USB support for fast music transfer. Release expected in Q3 2008.

AT&T loves to have the rumor mills going for new phones down the pipeline. And their pipeline is ALWAYS full; there always seems to be some new groundbreaking device to look forward to. Thus, my goal is to keep you informed of all of the current groundbreaking devices that are rumored to be in AT&T’s pipeline. I will continually update this as new information comes out.

Rumor Mill: Nokia 6085 for AT&T

Another phone coming down the pipeline is the Nokia 6085. This one will replace the 6102i in the stores sometime soon, but no official word on when. This phone, in addition to featuring the same stuff as the 6102i, will also throw in expandable memory, A2DP, and gets rid of the antenna.

Nokia 5300 ExpressMusic

This slider phone from T-Mobile is a multimedia user’s ideal; 1.3 MP camera and microSD slot so you can hold up to 2 GB of external storage for music. Sadly it only holds 5 MB of internal storage so the MicroSD is a must-have. Also comes with Bluetooth and voice dialing. This is also a myFavs phone on T-Mobile’s network.

Nokia N75

After a long-anticipated wait, we have finally been graced by the presence of the Nokia N75. This new 3G phone released by AT&T features a 2 MP camera, Bluetooth, Sync capabilities, 40 MB Internal memory, MicroSD slot, among other fabulous features.

Nokia 6126 Reviews

The Nokia 6126 for AT&T and 6133 for T-Mo are innovative new clamshells from Nokia. They are great for the lazies who want a flip phone but don’t want to use the extra energy to actually flip it open. The solution: throw on a button on the outside of the phone that will flip it open for you!

But there’s more to this nice little handset. It offers MicroSD, MP3 player, megapixel camera, bluetooth and quad-band support for use around the world. The 6133 also adds FM radio.

Nokia 6102

The Nokia 6103 (T-Mobile) and 6102i (AT&T) are upgrades to the 6101 and 6102; these are all some of Nokia’s first attempts at a flip phone. Notable features include VGA camera, support for MP3 ringtones, infrared, FM radio, and tri-band support. The later upgrades include bluetooth and a zoom function on the camera. The 6103 also has MyFaves compatibility for T-Mo.
